The GRANDPAL app does not collect your data. Your moments are stored only on your iPhone — we never receive them, and nobody else does either.
Who we are
The GRANDPAL app (the “App”) and this website are provided by GRANDPAL s.r.o., Československé armády 275/21, 500 03 Hradec Králové, Czech Republic (“we”, “us”). For the limited data described in this policy we act as the data controller under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

Information stored in the App
When you use the App, it stores the following on your iPhone:
- the moments you create: title, date, mood and optional note;
- when each moment was created and last edited;
- your App settings: the language you chose and whether you have seen the introduction.
This information is stored only in the App's private storage on your device and is protected by iOS Data Protection. It is never sent to us or to any third party. We have no server for the App and no way to access, read, restore or delete your moments.
What we do not do
- We do not require an account, email address or phone number.
- We do not use analytics, crash-reporting or advertising SDKs.
- We do not use the advertising identifier and do not track you across apps or websites.
- We do not sell, rent or share personal data.
- The App does not request access to your camera, photos, microphone, location, contacts or notifications.
- The App does not download or upload anything. An internet connection is needed only to open this policy, the Terms of Use or to send us an email.
iPhone backups
Like other app data, your moments may be included in the backups of your iPhone that you make with iCloud Backup or on a computer. These backups are controlled by you and governed by your Apple settings and Apple's terms. We have no access to them.
When you contact support
If you email us, we receive your email address, your message and anything you choose to include. If you use Settings → Contact Support in the App, the email draft also contains the App version, iOS version, iPhone model and App language, so we can help faster. You can see and change the draft before sending it. It never includes your moments.
We use this information only to answer your request (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b) and our legitimate interest in providing support, Art. 6(1)(f)). We keep the correspondence for as long as needed to resolve the request and delete it no later than 24 months afterwards, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
Our mailbox and this website are hosted by our hosting provider Namecheap, Inc. on servers in the European Union. The provider processes data only on our behalf. If any data is processed outside the European Economic Area, it is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
This website
grandpal.app uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts or fonts. Like any web server, our hosting provider automatically records standard technical logs (IP address, date and time, requested page, browser type) to keep the site secure and working. These logs are based on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), are not used to identify you and are kept only for a short period.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify and erase your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing and to data portability. To exercise these rights regarding your emails with us, write to moments@grandpal.app. You may also lodge a complaint with the Czech Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz) or with the authority in your country.
Users in Türkiye have the rights set out in Article 11 of the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (KVKK) and may contact us at the same address.
Your moments are fully under your control: you can delete a single moment, or all of them via Settings → Delete All Data. Deleting the App also removes its data from your iPhone.
Children
GRANDPAL is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will publish the new version on this page and update the effective date. If a future version of the App changes how data is handled, we will update this policy before that version is released.
